Already high numbers of abandoned pets have skyrocketed in recent months. Companion animals no longer companions, left to fend for themselves. These pitiful creatures face the harshness of the elements, temperature extremes, scrounging for food and water, and have no safe place to call home.

Some of you may have read or watched news coverage revealing that the resources of well-established rescue organizations are struggling to accommodate these poor creatures. Fortunately, and in the best spirit of America, thousands of small, sometimes home-based rescues have cropped up, rising to meet the needs of a staggering homeless population. And, more often than not, these courageous shelters lack sufficient funding to guarantee care as long as it takes to adopt out these poor souls.

To meet this need, a new player has entered the fray, to provide for the providers … to help them alleviate this widespread suffering.

Trilogy International wholeheartedly supports the efforts of these small rescue groups, and supplies much-needed financial assistance through The Dr. Jane HealthyPetNet Foundation.

We encourage you to participate in Wednesday night’s “Ask Dr. Jane” conference call, to learn more about this important endeavor and to meet the person responsible for its establishment, Cris Jochum.

In addition, Dr. Jane will share with the call audience some of the secrets of the pet industry.

Wednesday night’s call promises to be jam-packed with information, so make your plans now to join in.

PLEASE NOTE:  To participate, dial (218) 844-0860 and enter pass code 626116# after the prompt. Once you join the call, please follow the moderator’s directions to reduce background noise, so that everyone can hear Dr. Jane clearly.

Please remember, Dr. Jane cannot legally advocate any treatment by phone or by email. We ask that you please refrain from asking Dr. Jane any diagnostic questions. If you have condition-specific questions about companion animals, either real or hypothetical, we strongly urge you to seek the medical advice and attention of your veterinarian.

  1. i think that alot of human beings should be ashamed of themself’s.we allgo through tough times in life from time to time but that dosent mean we should abandond our animals.a pet you decide to have in your life as part of your family should be a commitment for life thay realy on you to care for them in good times and in bad .you dont just get rid or abandon your pets just because you cant be bothered anymore with them or think its to hard to keep them.an animal will give its owner unconditional love and loyalty.we still have alot to learn from animals.decent people in the world would not dump or abandon there children so why do it to animals.there is always a way tofeed and love your pets no matter how bad things get in life.love your animals and tay will love you back.animals are a gift to humans from the powers above.
